I'll take it where I can get it!

I went to the George A. Romero's Diary of the Dead MySpace page today and found this:
uberfun
Well, the green writing is mine, but LOOKIT! I'm on the front page!! HAHAHAHAHA! *dances like a crazy white girl*

*ahem* Uh...  Yes, that made me smile a bit.

Also, last I checked the percentage on my video, I was at 42%. Not only is that the meaning of life, the universe and everything, it's also Fox Mulder's apartment number and Dr. House's favourite number.

I would hang my head in shame if I wasn't proud of being a geek. :D

Still no word from any of the festivals...I hope that, if nothing else, I get a rejection letter. I need something to pin to my wall, darnit!

In case you want to see it (again and again *teehee*):

Congratulations! Your first step toward superstardom, or whatever passes for superstardom for filmmakers. ;-) Before you know it, people will be speaking your name in the same sentence with the names of the Coen brothers or Kevin Smith or even Francis Ford Coppola.

Congrats on front page status. It really is quite a good short.

Woo! Thanks y'all! I'd gotten there just in time, too...they removed all of the videos soon thereafter because it was the end of voting.

You can borrow some of MY rejection letters.

The most recent one being the Sarasota Film Festival who, unlike more reputable film festivals, waits until the last sentence in a paragraph-heavy letter to add, "sadly, the amazing event that is the SFF, complete with all these wonderful attributes stated above, will not be including your petty trifle of a film this year or any year. But thanks for the fifty bucks and support of the medium locally even though we could give a crap about the locals. Love and kisses, SFF".

But kudos on getting mention on the main page. Plus, 42's a good number. Unless you're the first lot of people, and not the chaps who had to design the second computer only to have it destroyed by the Vogons in order to make way for an outer spiral arm highway.

And thanks for checking out the blooog!
